ACE exam question about Formulas

Hello everyone,

I just began studying for the ACE exam. For the formulas do i need to memorize the ones such as the bike test formula with all those numbers in it? Would I be wasting my time to memorize all those numbers? Or the Cardio testing formulas, again the ones that have 4+ decimal places in it and is very long?

The Ace exam is very subjective. It is mostly ..."What is the best answer."... Do not waste your time memorizing formulas. I learned it the hard way.

There are several formulas ACE want you to know for the exam...you can easily get a math tip sheet directly from one of the ACE Resource personnel. They sent me one and the formulas you may want to know are:
BMI
Karvonen
% Body fat calculations/lean body weight percent
% of calories on Food Label
calorie expenditure (how long it takess to lose 8 pounds)
protein requirements (you may have to determine how much is required for a certain weight)
Convert Absolute to Relative Oxygen consumption.
All in all, the math portion of the exam was very minimal and very basic.

I took the ACE exam 4 times and I still have not passed it. I can not figure it out. I found it easier than the study. I also have gone into the exam room very confident. I have a masters degree plus a post graduate education. I can not figure out what is wrong with me here. Can someone respond?

I have been taking the Exercise ETC webinars. It seems (I hope at least) like they try to flush out the extraneous information and help to focus on the meat of the test.
