ACSM Workshop

I am trying to decide whether or not to attend the ACSM workshop. Have you been to one of these workshops? How many people normally attend and is everyone really young? I am in my 30's so I have decided to start this career a little later than most but I really don't want to attend a workshop that looks like my neighborhood Ballys with everyone under the age of 20.

I attended the ACSM three day workshop and I'm so glad I did. I am 38 years old and this class was definitely a group from all walks of life. There were people there in their 60's and 20's. The important thing is the best education you can get and the best information to help pass the test. I'm taking it on Thursday - I'll let you know how it goes.

Do the workshop!

I attended the workshop in Philadelphia last weekend and i found it very informative. I would easily say that it is worth the $375, and I most certainly do not have a fat wallet. I am a 25 year old guy, but in the workshop there was 2 other guys one in his early 30's and one who was 20. The remaining 10 people were all women, mostly in their late 20's - early 30's. The instructor was fantastic!

I am 41 and took it. There were 2 others my age, one older, and a couple youger ones. It was invaluable for the information I received.

If you want to pass this test, the workshop is good idea, especially if you are new to the industry. I found it extremely helpful.

I'm currently studying for my cpt exam..I attended the workshop almost a month ago now. There was an enormous amount of info to go over in just 3 days and sunday wasnt much of a day at all. It was a great help depending on your instructor. I would recommend it but check first in your area on how many people are attending. If there is less than 6 people they will not hold the workshop. This happened with me so i had to find another location that was further away. hope that helps..jt

Do not miss the workshop! Our group in Atlanta had a fabulous instructor. There were ten in the group; age ranged from early twenties to mid-fifties, three men, seven women. After the workshop, I was able to direct my study much more efficiently. I took the exam six weeks after participating in the workshop and passed!
It was, however, a very rigorous exam. You earn every bit of the ACSM certification - no handouts!
