Arizona Personal Trainer Salary

(Mohave, Arizona)

I am making over 80K per year working at a Health Club in Arizona. I am paid $6 hourly for evaluations and am obligated to pay the club $10 per hour of personal training done. I work for the club 40 hrs per week but I am not paid the hourly wage when I am training clients on the clock. When I am training clients I make $55 an hour, when you factor in the $6 hourly on any dead time (which is really my marketing time) it is not bad at all.

Hi there I was just wondering how many clients you get in a normal week?

There is always overhead to take care of before you pay yourself. Health insurance, rent, liability insurance, equipment, self employment tax (an extra 7.5% for social security) are few of the costs. Overall, working for yourself is the ideal situation to be in as you evolve in the field. You have a lot more control of where the money is going.
