Australian Personal Trainer Pay

In Australia we get paid more for personal training than it seems in us. The gym charges the client between 70 to 80 aud per hour and pays 40 per hour. I book clients back to back with no breaks and I might get one or two cancellations a week. I have been there 7 months and currently clear between 700 to 800 per week after tax. My goal is to earn 1500 per week.

Trainers at my gym who have been there 3 years or more earn 2000 to 2500 a week. One trainer who has been there for 32 years charges clients 120 per hour and pays a weekly rent of 250 to the gym. So he usually pockets about 3500 a week. But if you want to earn that kind of money it takes time to build your client base and reputation up to be able to charge that. If I charged that I would lose slot of clients overnight. In Australia at a good gym you start with gym floor shifts doing programmes and get paid 21 per hour and build your client base.you get 40 per hour for pt. Once you have
about 20 hours pt you pay rent to gym and work as a contractor. You can earn alot more money this way
