canadian insurance issues

While this course is good overall and the material is basic understanding friendly and I real enjoy the price” free” or even the pro version 24.95 , there are very limited locations for exam writing for me I have to travel 5 hours to the only city in Ontario where I can take the exam. As for the certification, it has no benefits in Canada no recognition and as far as I with many major gyms here in Ontario and I'm not able to get insurance as this is not a NCCA approved course at this writing(it is in process) and even if it were doesn’t mean it will be approved in Canada for insurance.
Overall worth a look and great start point to get you going but expect more than that.

got my insurance with no problem

HI Rob

I am surprised you are having trouble getting insurance. I am not in canada so I was eligible to get the insurance that Action has already negotiated for its members. I looked around and could find nobody else offering anything close to $105 per year so I am pretty happy.

Hopefully the NCCA accred will help things north of the border.

oh and bummer about having to drive so far. I guess I was lucky having two test centers within 30 minutes of my house.

Canfitpro and other canadian pt orgs are not NCCA appoved either. it's a matter if the insurance company is authorized to sell here.
