I.A.R.T.

I have purchased a lot of material from the I.A.R.T. over the years and I definitely recommend it. If you are looking for a "starter" certification or something easy, this is not it. The only problem is that the I.A.R.T. is a Canadian organization and not well-known in the United States.

Actually the IART just recentely moved its headquarters to New York and is now a US based certificdation

I know a few people who train under I.A.R.T. certified trainers and say the workouts are almost addictive. Their methodology and regiments are excellent. The comment earlier said the certification is for the serious and committed individuals and nothing could be truer.

IART vs other certs?

Would you recommend this certification over others? I'm looking for a program that helps me develop the skills to understand anatomy, how to develop a training program for clients, and the mechanics of exercise. I'm not looking for just a title. I want to really be an expert. What would you recommend?

I have done my research and recently sought out IART certification. I hope this information is helpful: The IART is an internationally renowned organization and certification. It gives more than just a title. I have found the material to provide great depth in the learning of exercise science. I highly recommend this to anyone who is serious about becoming a personal trainer. I feel the information and knowledge enables you to become a true expert in the field.

Good material, well thought out but not easy. Pretty much unknown with mainstream certs.

I have read many of the books set forth by the IART and am working on my Fitness Clinician certication currently. I can give you a summary of my view of the IART in 8 words. The materials are logical, practical and they work.
