Just passed the AFAA Online (written portion) Personal Trainer Exam
I could not have done this without Katie's Exam Prep Course. It really made everything come together for me.
The AFAA exam mostly covers Joint Actions, Anatomy, Fitness Assessment, Legal Responsibilities, one question on HRR, and several questions on risk factor classification. Review Kinesiology and Physiology right before the exam and you will be okay.
There was not as much math as I expected, but one question comes to mind regarding fat calories.. Know there are 9 fat calories per gram of fat.
If you purchase Katie's exam prep course, complete it to where you are scoring 90-100%, you should pass the AFAA PT course.
The AFAA course is challenging, but use common sense and select the "most safe" answer. If it gives you the option to refer to a physician, I'd select that answer.
Read each question carefully and use process of elimination and common sense to answer. If fitness is your passion, most of this will make sense to you. If you are in it just for the money, you will bomb with flying colors...
