The NFPT is a fine company!!!

I have been with the NFPT family for about a year now and have been impressed with how they treated me like family. They are quick to help when and with whatever area they can. The test is extremely hard, but not impossible. I have a B.S Degree and this is by far one of the hardest test I have ever taken. I STRONGLY recommend this certification.
After calling several other certification companies, most seemed cold over the phone and always tried to say they were the best. Not with NFPT they were honest and down to earth. I favor them among many. I know other people who are certified with other companies and they seem dissatisfied when talking about what their companies do for them.
What about NFPT??

No one on the discussion forum is mentioning NFPT...is that because it's not recognized, or that you can't get hired with that certification?
It seems like a good online option because they recert yearly, but the recert rate is only $85 as compared to NASM's $800 (including CEUs).
Can anyone give a review of the NFPT and how employable someone with that cert would be??
Ron J. Clark and the NFPT are outstanding!

For the last decade I have studied and practiced fitness. After reading the text for this certification I no longer have any doubts or confusion surrounding the immense field of fitness. A solid basis for any education in fitness.
It was a pleasure and challenge studying the text 4 times and finishing the supplemental materials. After four months I scored a 95 on the exam, which is tough, but very applicable to the coursework.
Anytime I have a question I call the NFPT and someone answers the phone(yes a real person!) who is ready and willing to help.
I have practiced the principles outlined by the NFPT and have born witness, along with clients, to the ease and power of an education whose foundation of fitness is in demonstrable results.
I have started a personal training business and within days began training with complete confidence.
No flash, no hype, not bogus - no convincing needed. The NFPT simply speaks for itself. Yes, very powerful and practical.

NFPT disorganized material but overall good

I am certified through NFPT, and I feel like I learned valuable information, but their at home study program booklet to study by felt very chaotic. It wasn't organized well, and chapters don't focus on just one aspect, but many, and make looking up a specific topic difficult. I also would have really liked more pictures, diagrams, and charts to put concepts into visual understanding. It was easy to get lost in some of the larger concepts because they assume you have a lot of background all ready in understanding certain vocabulary, concepts, ect. Overall, I'm glad I chose this program and it was a very easy test. I believe NFPT is viewed, at least where I work, as one of the 'lower end' certifications, because it isn't very hard to get, isn't as expensive as most, and only requires a short study time.
Luckily, I also have a bachelors degree in health, otherwise I feel like I might be under-prepared to be an adequate personal trainer

NFPT is a well put together program

I passed the NFPT test a couple of days ago. 906/1000. almost all the questions were in the study guide and manual. I studied hard for months to prepare and feel that was what made the difference. I am pleased and feel that I received a good education.
