I Passed NFPT!
by Gwen
I took my NFPT exam last week and PASSED!!!! I needed a 71 to pass and earned an 86. Although I would have preferred a higher score, I am happy to have passed. I do believe that utilizing your prep course did help the process. I was able to pick up a bit of terminology that supplemented the NFPT handbook. Thanks again for the prep course and your kind offer of assistance when my computer was not cooperating.
Just took the NFPT test -- and passed -- here are some helpful tips

Hello,
I just took the NFPT test and passed. The passing benchmark is 750, and I got a 933. I am not being self-serving here, but it's important that people understand a couple of things who will take the test.
First, The study guide and manual aren't the best organized material I have ever seen, and I wouldn't rely just on the study guide questions if you are serious about the passing the test.
Second, This is just general study advice really, but it would serve you well to understand -- conceptually -- the material in the book. Sometimes they will frame a question in a way that you likely didn't study, but if you understand the concepts of the material you will be FINE.
Last, Are there any folks out there who took this test in the past that were able to obtain work, if so, how did you go about it?
Thanks, D
