Personal Trainer Salary in Connecticut

by Joe Bartovic NASM-CPT,PES
(Middletown,CT)

I have worked for studios, gym's and as an independent contractor for over five years. You will always make more on your own, I charge $45 - $75 depending on client location, equipment needed etc.. but you will find any employer will pay as little as they can get away with if you do not have proper certifications.

If you think it's cool to work at a gym and train for $10 - $12/hr do us all a favor and stop it! I see certified new trainers getting $18 - $20 to start, Good Trainers $20 - $22, Great Trainers up to $25.

But that's how it is if you are working for some one else.
