San Diego Salary

by Jake
(San Diego, CA)

Just curious what peoples pay is here in San Diego. I make 16 for a 45 minute session at a private training studio. I work for a great family run small private studio but as a exercise science graduate it seems pretty pathetic. I do have a full clientele of 27 sessions per week and do none of the advertising/marketing or client recruitment I just train, but come on 16 an hour. I have found very similar salaries elsewhere in SD sense moving here. Just curious to what others are making. Oh and a training sessions cost 75 on the high /64 for the lowest if 100 sessions are purchased.

Fitness Together by any chance?
by: Anonymous

Hey Jake
Not sure if you are still at the place you spoke about but it sounds like you are working at a Fitness Together.
The pay crap!
If you are experienced stay away bacause they do not care.
Great place to work if just beginning.

working for 20% of training fees?
by: Jeff

You are working at a studio where the client is paying $75 a session and you keep $16 of the $75? I understand that you are not doing the marketing in order to get the clients, but wouldn't it be worthwhile to just do your own marketing and start doing some in-home training or mobile fitness training? Check out the CEU discount section here and click on Home Fitness Training Specialist. That will take you to the website where you can choose to learn about the business side of in-home fitness training. At least get the course preview because it will give you a nice overview of how to run a successful in-home fitness training business.

all the best,
