Dear Katie,

i have just been through your website and found it one of the most helpful sites on the net. The information is invaluable to me as i have just completed my certification, and am about to embark on an apprentice in one of australias top gymnasuims under a mentorship programme with one of sydneys top personal trainers.

I was very nervous on my first trail session with my mentor as she made me take her through a workout that I would take a client through, I felt very unconfident as I have not been in this industry for long and am not that familiar with all the different techniques and training available. I was having second thoughts about whether this is my vocation and then I found your website and it gave me a newfound confidence and I realise this is my dream and i will do what ever training I need to undertake to make myself a personal trainer and fitness coach that brings credibility to the industry. My tutor and mentor is one of the best in the industry so I have every confidence in their training, and I have confidence in the fact that I was chosen from my class to be part of this programme due to the potential that was seen in me. I am excited to have stepped onto your website and will try to support any way I am able.

There always has to be complainers out there and it's usually because they are people who are miserable with themselves and have to take their agression out on others. I actually feel sorry for people who always have to be negative. Try to ignore the negatives and focus on the positive things that you have been doing to help others because we really do appreciate it!!!

The honest truth about this site

My experience with this site has been a positive one. It provided me with a better understanding on a personal training career. When I first started doing research on personal training I looked at various different websites for information and I couldn't find many sites that had enough information except this one.

I recently took the ACE certification exam and barely failed it but Katie still kept her word on her guarantee (double my money back) and refunded me. Even though I failed the ACE certification exam I do have to say this site has provided me with an easy effective way to study for the exam. Next time I take the exam in a few weeks I will for sure pass it. Thank you Katie!

Misplaced anger

I am so sorry the fun and excitement has been taken by (possibly) only one angry person (2 at the most). I know it is hard to take your focus off of him, but try to remember the thousands and thousands of people you have helped. I have never purchased anything from your site but plan to do so when I am ready because of the value your site already has at no cost to “lurkers” like me. I have learned so much from experienced trainers who post on your discussion boards. Someday when I have information to share that will help others, I will be happy to share it…also for free.



The world would be a better place if there were more sites like yours which offer good, sound, free information to anyone who is interested. It is obvious that personal training is your passion and you want to help others succeed.

I have to say that Katie stands in an unusual light--she does what she says. That alone makes her stand out. It's rare to find this.

Hi Katie!

I wanted to let you know that when I started my first personal training in-home business you actually helped me by providing all of the client information sheets, liability forms, waiver forms, business forms etc. I used many of these forms to launch my in-home personal training business in 2007.

Although I have closed that business and opened up a Franchise (Licensing Business Owner) called Achieve Fitness Canada, I have still continued to use your forms.

I also wanted to add here to keep a positive mental outlook on these things. You are right, people can say what they want about you and your business on the internet, it really is no holds barred arena. But these same people if confronted on the streets would cower like little pussycats.
