Unrealistic Expectations

The worst part about being a personal trainer is dealing with clients that have unrealistic expectations. It's tough when somebody comes in expecting immediate and drastic results. Just as bad is dealing with clients that are unmotivated and expect me to "baby" them along. It's hard for me to get motivated to train someone when they clearly don't want to be there.

Be sincere
by: LC

You are the boss and you need to be sincere. Make a program and show them how long this will take to reach their goal. If they cry about it or tell you about this magic diet they have heard of, just tell them that that is not healthy or most of the time is not true. There's no magic diets and pills only efficient workouts and a healthy diet.

Unrealistic Expectations

Fitness should be only for people who want to put in the effort - everybody else can get lost -they are a complete pain in the backside and an impossible demographic to work with.
